The Rev. William Lovin, began his ministry at Congregational UCC in August 2007. A native of Illinois, Bill graduated from Southern Illinois University and Harvard Divinity School. He served churches in Wisconsin and Connecticut before coming to Iowa City. Bill has a passion for teaching the New Testament and a deep interest in the relationship between faith and work. He is also a big fan of the bossa nova.

Edie Roberts is our Christian Education Director. A member of the Congregational UCC Church in Iowa City since 1973, Edie has been involved in Christian education in various capacities for over thirty years. She is currently enrolled in the CENTER/LEARN/SEARCH Lay Education Program to be better prepared as a church educator.
Richard Bloesch has been director of music at the Congregational UCC church since 1971. He conducts the adult choir, which sings at the regular service each week. Twice a year, at the Christmas and Easter seasons, the choir performs a large-scale work with instruments, in a special service of music.
Bloesch is a retired faculty member in the School of Music at The University of Iowa, where he taught the history of choral literature, conducted the Camerata Singers, and advised doctoral students. During his tenure he completed a monograph on 20th-century choral music for college choirs.
He holds a Master of Divinity degree and a Master of Sacred Music degree from Union Theological Seminary, New York, and a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in choral literature from the University of Illinois.
