The Torah reading at the synagogue this Saturday tells of the vow of nazirites. For us, probably the most well-known nazirite in the Bible is the ancient Judge, Samson. We’ll hear the story of Samson’s birth in worship on Sunday. It is a story of beginnings, of listening, and of welcoming. It turns out to be a story for our time.
