Past years have included series on science and religion, archeology and the Bible, the Reformation, and a discussion about the novel Lila with Marilynne Robinson. Join us in Rockwood Hall any Sunday or every Sunday for timely, intelligent, and insightful conversation about a variety of topics.
MARCH 17-APRIL 14--ENTERING THE PASSION OF JESUS
Bill Lovin will be leading this series based on the book by the same name by New Testament scholar Amy-Jill Levine. This is not your ordinary Lenten study! We’ll look at the history and literature of the last days of Jesus’ life. We’ll consider the risks that Jesus took. And through all of this we’ll find ways to understand and question our own lives. This Lenten journey challenges us to examine our consciences and find out how deepening our relationship with Jesus and the Bible brings us into closer relationship with others and the world. While it is not necessary, if you’d like to read the book, Entering the Passion of Jesus, it can be ordered from a local bookstore or online.
