Join Us for Worship

It’s another one of those “Here we go again” weeks”—although many of us are left wondering “Just where is it that we are going?”

In a speech in South Africa on Tuesday, former President Barak Obama said: “Given the strange and uncertain times that we are in—and they are strange and they are uncertain—each day's news cycle bringing more head spinning and disturbing headlines—I thought maybe it would be useful to step back for a moment and try to get some perspective.”

And that, of course, is one of many things that worship allows us to do: to turn away from the news and the noise, to listen for the Word of God speaking to us, to step back and get a new perspective—so that we might once again go into the world in both peace and strength for the days ahead.

This morning we are helped in gaining a new perspective by the sacrament of baptism.
