REINHOLD NIEBUHR: AN AMERICAN CONSCIENCE is an award-winning documentary that details the life of Reinhold Niebuhr, a theologian whose ideas influenced American religious life from the Great Depression through the Civil Rights Movement in the 1960s. Niebuhr’s story raises important questions about changes in American society and challenges us to rethink the public role of religion in American life today. The 55 minute film will be shown at Congregational UCC on Wednesday, October 3. Bill’s brother, Robin W. Lovin, who served as a consultant to filmmaker Martin Doblmeier, will lead a discussion of the film.
