Join Us for Worship

We’re in the middle of the Season of Creation, celebrating the good earth, and listening to the call to be stewards of creation. An international and ecumenical group of church leaders recently wrote: “We believe that we must address climate change for future generations. We must stand in intergenerational solidarity and act now to protect the earth for our children and the generations that will come after us.”

“Intergenerational solidarity” calls older generations to listen carefully to younger generations. In these days when students across Iowa City and around the world are engaged in climate strikes, the scripture lessons give us some ways to listen and to join in solidarity.

We will also celebrate the baptisms of Addison Olivia Booth and Kennedy Lane Booth, the daughters of Cooper and Victoria Booth and the great-granddaughters of Del and Suzie Brown.

Scripture Lessons: I Samuel 3:1-11; I Timothy4:
